How to disable Save password details check option in connection details -
Description
How to disable the "Save password details" check option because company's policies' and a requirement from the audit. -
Resolution
The checkbox won’t be disabled if you delete that password from the file location.
But if needed to key in the password each time connecting, this can be done by the following:
1. Disconnect and open the Spotlight connection properties details -> remove the passwords and click OK to save the profile;
2. Find the connection profile by default location, and set the profile as Read-only;
3. Restart Spotlight connection, then you should need to enter password each time.

Profile location eg by default : C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Quest Software\Shared\Profiles. The file name is Profile.scp. Example: for "ORCL" connection location can be under C:\Users\thomas\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\Shared\Profiles\ORCL.SoO
