How to change the refresh speed for dynamically populated MAgE Collections -
Description
When using collections where membership is dynamically populated (e.g. OU containers, LDAP queries etc.) It can take some time for the MAgE to refresh the collection membership after changes have been made in AD.
It is possible to increase or decrease the speed or refresh interval.

Cause
The membership is updated every 15 minutes by default. It is configurable, stored in SQL db, table OPTIONS, it can be adjusted as required.

Resolution
- Open SQL Server Management Studio
- Right click the MMEX DB | New Query
- In the query window execute the following query, replace XX with the desired refresh interval in minutes:
- update options set OPTIONVALUE = XX where OPTIONNAME = 'CONTAINER_EXPAND_PERIOD_MIN'
- Restart MAgE instances.

Additional Information
Note: If a mailbox is effectively moving between MAgE instances both the old and new MAgE instances must be running, the old agent to release the mailbox from its collection and the new agent to add the mailbox to a collection.
