Where is the Startup button in the Database | Monitor | Instance Manager option?
This option has disappeared in Toad For Oracle 10.1. -
Resolution
This option has been removed.
The reason for removing this was that it didnt work properly and it was not possible to fix that .
This is because you cant connect to a database through the listener when the database is shutdown. That means that the only way to start up a database is to be on the server (or telnetted into it) so you can connect without the listener.
So the only option we had was to remove this button.
