"Code decode function to case statement" does not work for a specific snippet

Steps to reproduce the problem:

1. Paste the code below into the Editor

         SELECT DECODE(NVL(col, 'A'), 'B', '(C)') FROM table

2. R-click in the editor and select  "Refactor | Code decode function to case statement"

It returns
      
SELECT CASE
ELSE '(C)'
END FROM table

WORKAROUND

The statement are using a NVL function (which is valid) on the expression, but it's not needed, because the DECODE function allows for an 'optional' default value.
The refactoring works fine when there is a default value.
As a workaround please use a default value instead of a NVL function.
This will also speed up the code because it doesn't have to do twice the checks.

Issue fixed in version 12.9. The latest version of Toad for Oracle can be downloaded at: https://support.quest.com/toad-for-oracle/download-new-releases
