Site Administrator 1.8 does not support installing to a computer that is running. the .NET 2.0 Service Pack 1. It looks for .NET 2.0 specifically. A script has been made available which patches the qsSharePointSiteAdministrator.msi file to allow it to support .NET 2.0 Service Pack 1.
The following error may occur when trying to run this script (please see attached screen shot):
"Msi API Error 80004005: OpenDatabase,DatabasePath,OpenMode
1: 2203 2: qsSharePointSiteAdministrator.1.8.0.783.msi 3: -2147287035"
The cause of this error is unknown.
Please contact Quest Support to get a qsSharePointSiteAdministrator.msi file which has the changes already applied. Use this file instead of patching the existing qsSharePointSiteAdministrator.msi file by running the script.
Support for .NET 2.0 SP1 is built into Site Administrator 2.0.
