Error messages "System call error: Cannot assign requested address bind:" when starting sp_cop (4330983)

When the hostname has a special character besides alphanumeric characters, the following errors are observed when starting sp_cop:

Shareplex does not support special characters in hostnames.

Create an alias in /etc/hosts that contains only alphanumeric entries for any hostname that has other characters besides alphanumeric in it. See Shareplex Installation Guide Chapter titled Unix Installation and Setup section titled UNIX Preinstallation Checklist

NOTE: This Resolution only applies to this specific cause and the error could originate from another cause and this solution may or may not apply. Contact Support if the naming of hostname is not an issue (if it is purely alphanumeric).
