LiteSpeed SSIS plans must be manually upgraded after upgrading SQL Server -
Description
Maintenance plans may fail after upgrading the version of SQL Server.

Cause
On SQL Server, LiteSpeed SSIS plans use the Quest.MaintenancePlan.Tasks.X.dll library. They must be manually upgraded to use the Quest.MaintenancePlan.Tasks.(X+1).dll library that matches the SQL Server version. Otherwise, plan jobs will fail after you upgrade to SQL Server.

Resolution
If you have at least one LiteSpeed task in a SSIS plan, then you need to upgrade the plan after upgrading SQL Server.
To upgrade plans in LiteSpeed 6.1 or later, do one of the following:
- Right-click an instance in the Maintenance Plan pane and select Tasks | Upgrade LiteSpeed Maintenance plans.
- Right-click a maintenance plan in the Maintenance Plan pane and select Convert to LiteSpeed.

Examples of the error messages:
- Failed to load task.
- The task has failed to load.
- There were errors during task validation.
- The package cannot execute because it contains tasks that failed to load.
- The package execution returned DTSER_FAILURE (1).
- The package execution failed.
