Upgrade FMS JVM startup failure (see attached screenshot).
Reviewing the install log did not find any errors.
Install Directory: D:\Quest_Software\Foglight\jre
There were two other applications installed on the FMS which were utilizing the Java installed in Foglight. This caused the binaries to be 'busy' during the FMS upgrade so they were not updated.
The FMS Installation Log did not indicate this error as it does not track the update of the JRE.
We noted the Java version in the FMS log was Java 1.6.0_45
RESOLUTION: Stopped the other applications that were using Java and verified in Task Manager that the java processes were stopped. Ran the upgrade again which properly updated the JRE.
STATUS: FGL-15273 has been submitted for improved installer logging of JRE updating.
