Error received when using the new connection dialogue to connect to a Cloud Based Oracle RAC:

Cause

The current query to fetch the instance name from Oracle v$active_instances view does not return expected instance name for Cloud Based Oracle RAC environments.
Resolution

WORKAROUND:

An updated .dat file with an updated query to fetch the instance name from the gv$instance view is available in the attachments. Replace the file "RacSql.dat" in default location: "C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle 2018 R2.1 Edition\Spotlight for Oracle 10.7.1\Plug-ins\SoRAC" with the updated .dat file.

STATUS:

Waiting for fix in a future release of Spotlight on RAC/Spotlight on Oracle.
