In the Schema Browser, when selecting the right-hand tab "Objects" for a user to show the objects privileges, the exception "List index out of bounds (8)" occurs.
Another possible error message is:
"Toad for Oracle has encountered a problem. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
A component named FObjects already exists.

This occurs following a user settings migration from Toad for Oracle 12.9 to 12.10, but could also occur when migrating user settings from different versions.
RESOLUTION:
1) Open the older Toad for Oracle version from which the User Settings are being migrated.
2) Open the Connections window by clicking the "New Connections" icon in the top menu.
3) Select the Export button and export your current connections details into an .xml file.
4) Close Toad for Oracle.
5) Locate the "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Dell\Toad for Oracle\12.10\User Files" folder.
6) Backup the User Files folder by making a copy of the whole folder.
7) Locate the "Toad.ini" file in the original User Files folder and delete it.
8) Start Toad and import the connections from the .xml file by clicking New Connections | Import.
The issue will not occur when accessing the Objects tab.
Please note that some of the preferences from the previous Toad version will have to be manually re-selected.
