What is the password length for repository database & can we use special character for db password? (4327150)

Foglight/Foglight for Virtualization Enterprise edition doesn't support the use of special characters in db password, as that will end in database connection failure.

Foglight does not start up successfully because the special characters corrupt the XML config on which Foglight/Foglight for Virtualization Enterprise edition is dependent.

What is password length for database?

We only support passwords up to 16 characters (FGL-2873)

Can we use special characters in the db password?

Some characters are not allowed (FGL-13994), specifically ‘ and “
At the moment there is no comprehensive list of characters that will cause this failure mode.

Please use a password that does not contain the special characters.
