Error during backup: "operating system error 3 (The system cannot find the path specified.)" -
Description
When backing up a database, you may encounter the following error:
'K:MSSQL.2MSSQLBackupPROD_GuWuAppConfig.CKP' (operating system error
3(The system cannot find the path specified.)). The statement is
proceeding but cannot be restarted. -
Cause
The network path may not be present or you may not have permissions.

Resolution
Check the path and make sure the directory exists and/or if the login used to execute the backup has rights to the directory. If not, this error will return when attempting to backup a database when saving to the location. Once the path is created and/or permissions are granted, this should no longer appear.
