The creation of this directory failed: C:\Windows\Temp\solution (4324280)

The Content Matrix installation fails with an error message similar to the one below when deploying WSPs:

The creation of this directory failed: C:\Windows\Temp\solution-f2e0f45a-23cb-4a26-a9df-f1b4b9bbb0d0

When deploying WSPs, SharePoint tries to create a temporary folder in C:\Windows\Temp. However, the issue will occur if permissions to the Temp folder are missing.

1. Run the commands below to view and cancel any pending deployment jobs:

   stsadm -o enumdeployments
   stsadm -o canceldeployment -id <id>

2. Grant Full Control permissions to the installation account on the C:\Windows\Temp folder.

   Note: It may be simpler to grant permissions to "Everyone" on the said folder.

3. Run the Content Matrix installer or MSI to deploy the WSPs.
