Unable to use pick list with the ORDER BY clause when in the previous statement was select * from table t, for instance:
Scenario #1:
-- It won't work on this scenario
SELECT * FROM entity ent
ORDER by ent.
Scenario #2:
-- It will work on this one
SELECT ent.ENT_FIRST_NAME, ent.ENT_LAST_NAME
FROM entity ent
ORDER ent.
Resolution

WORKAROUND :

As shown in the second scenario in the above section, when using the column name in the SELECT portion of the statement, the ORDER BY clause will be able to work with the pick list.
