Description
"Generate Change Script" tool detects changes when there are no changes. It identifies that columns are different, but doesn't show what's the differences.
A previously created model from database (e.g. SQL Server 2014) is updated. If Foreign Key was renamed on a table, TDM is not able to recognize that it is the same FK with different name.
Is there a way for users to do mapping manually; to select object on both sides and say that it is the same object?

Cause
TDM drop the "old" column and "create" new. And when "old" column is dropped the description, notes, etc. are lost. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND:
A temporary workaround would be to rename the FK (or any other object) in the model as soon as the user renames it in the database. With this, the object will be recognized as an existing one and its properties won't be lost.
STATUS:
Enhancement implemented in version 6.2. The latest version of Toad Data Modeler can be downloaded at:

Additional Information
The same can happen with with other types of rename: table, column, index, etc. Implementation would take a bit of time and resources and is considered a long-term goal. Feel free to add/vote on this request in the Toad World Idea Pond to increases visibility and drive implementation with community feedback.
