Running sp_ctrl gives Error " invalid user name passed "
Description

Running the sp_ctrl on windows gets the following error
please supply a login and passsword for [server name]:
login: usernameadmin
password: password
invalid user name passed
Attempted to connect to sp_cop on port 2200
Cause

The TMP/TEMP variable is not set to c:\temp instead it is set to individual user's temp
Resolution

The user that needs to run sp_ctrl need to have write permission to the TMP or TEMP variable directory
