When using .NET 3.5, the installation asked to reboot the server. This message would seen during the installation of LiteSpeed.
When using .NET 3.5, the LiteSpeed installation asked to reboot the server. This can occur on upgrades or first time installs.
Some consider this as a MS bug since the popup is asking for the reboot will come before .NET 3.5 finishes its install process. That means that there is a chance that if they have clicked OK to reboot their .NET will be broken and if they are too fast in clicking they will reboot their production box and most likely failing to another node if on cluster.
This pertains to Vista, VB and/or 2008. Some users clicked NO to reboot to refrain from bring down production.

SQL 2008 and SQL Express have a prerequisite of .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 and that install is probably what requires a reboot (not LiteSpeed).
