"SSL handshake failed: A potential protocol version downgrade attack" errors in Azure SQL agent log -
Description
After upgrading the FMS or the Azure SQL cartridge, the Azure SQL agents no longer collect data, the workload is not shown in the Global View databases dashboard and errors similar to the following appear in the Azure SQL agent log file:
com.dell.dsgi.jdbc.sqlserverbase.ddea: [Foglight][SQLServer JDBC Driver]SSL handshake failed: A potential protocol version downgrade attack -
Resolution
The Azure SQL cartridge was upgraded in the FMS but was not upgraded at the FMS level.
- Navigate to Administration | Agents | Agent Managers
- Select the FglAM Managers marked "Yes" in the Upgradable column
- Click the Upgrade button
- Select the Azure SQL cartridge (.gar file), then click the Next button
- Click the Finish button
- The upgrade should take a few minutes to complete and the FglAM will be automatically restarted in the background.
