A “Service Unavailable” error message is displayed in the browser when attempting to launch the Desktop Authority Manager Console.
Windows Updates have been applied but the machine has not been restarted.
The recommended resolution is to restart the server and allow the updates to be fully applied. If the server cannot be rebooted, then a possible workaround is to run the following command:
%SYSTEMROOT%\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\aspnet_regiis.exe -i
Note: In a previous instance, the DAAppPool would stop every time an attempt was made to connect to the webpage. An attempt was made to toggle on the 'Enable32bitApplications' setting within the app pool but then a http 500 error occurred and the DA app pool would continue running but the DefaultAppPool would stop. An Event ID: 2274 was also generated in the in the Event Viewer Application log.
