SQL Server agent collects disk information only on disks containing DB instance data files -
Description
One cluster server has than ten drives. Alarms are not fired for one Drive "O", but when observed in that drive there are not have SQL Server related Files.
Why it is not monitored by the DBSS - Disk Percentage Rule?

Cause
The SQL Server cartridge only collect disk information on disks that contain the instance data files.
The disk monitoring collections for the database cartridge are only meant to add value to the DB collections, rather than replicate the functionality of the full Infrastructure cartridge.

Resolution
To obtain the full metrics for logical drives that do not contain SQL Server instance files, enable the Infrastructure agent rules and use the WindowsAgent cartridge to monitor the remote host.

Additional Information
Additionally, the Cartridge for SQL Server does not monitor the SQL Server Backup path defined during setup: e.x. C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\Backup The Infrastructure Cartridge should be used to remotely or locally monitor for space and other important disk volume metrics, and produce alarms and/or Email notifications for support personnel to action.
