Description:
When I publish an erwin DM model to Web Portal, I am getting an error in the log:
INFO:Starting basic consistency check (model validation)
INFO:Consistency: Validating model 'Model_1'
ERROR:Consistency: Model_1[STORE_MODEL]/dbo[DATABASE_SCHEMA]: the
DATABASE_SCHEMA cannot contain an object of type DERIVED_TYPE
FATAL:[MVLD_E0203] The Model is not consistentWhat is "an object of type" and how to fix it?
Solution:
That problem is not a Web Portal issue, that is an erwin DM model issue. The error indicates there are some corruptions in the data model regarding a derived object. Please go to Actions | Design Layers | Derive New Model and derive a new model to create a fresh model. You will then be able to publish that derived model.
