Problem:
I have several UDPs set at the Column level, and when relating two tables via a FK, the UDP of the parent table are inherited to the column in the child table (as expected). However, once there, it cannot be deleted. In prior versions, I could type over or delete the inherited value, but now I can only type over/replace the inherited value or have to set it with a space. How to delete this inherited UDP value?
Solution:
There was an issue which was resolved in erwin DM 9.8. There was also a change made in how this can now be deleted. Now the way to do this, as coded in erwin DM v 9.7 and later, is to click this icon in UDP tab as outlined below:
This will open the following editor. In that editor, you can highlight and delete it or backspace over the value and press OK.
That will clear the UDP value.
PS: For erwin DM v 9.7, you will also need to replace a DLL which has the TestFix before the method mentioned above will work. If you are using that, please contact erwin Support at: //erwin.com/support.
