Recovery Manager for Exchange MMC Console will not open. Error Message: "MMC could not create -
Description
After installing the Exchange 2010 Management tools on to a system with Recovery Manager for Exchange (RME) installed, the MMC fails to open Recovery Manager for Exchange snap-in.
When attempting to open the RME console you are presented with the following message in the right hand pane:
MMC could not create the snap-in
MMC could not create the snap-in. The snap-in might not have been installed correctly.

Cause
In some situations it is found that if the Exchange Management Tools are installed after Recovery Manager for Exchange has been installed on the system it can cause the RME MMC snap-in to fail.

Resolution
The following workaround is known to resolve the situation in most circumstances:
1. Uninstall Quest Recovery Manager for Exchange via Add/Remove Programs2. Reboot server3. Uninstall Exchange 2010 SP1 Management Tools from RME server4. Reboot5. Install Exchange 2010 SP1 Management Tools6. Reboot7. Update Exchange Management Tools with latest rollup hotfix for your Exchange environment8. Reboot9. Install Quest RME10. Reboot11. Open Recovery Manager console and confirm the console opens correctly.
