Error adding Source storage - "The stub received bad data" (4304778)

After copying an extracted EDB file to the Recovery Manager for Exchange 4.8 machine attempting to add this as Source Storage to interrogate the following error is received:

The stub received bad data. (Exception from HRESULT:0x800706f7)

Bug TF00102193 has been created for this issue. A bug has been found when Recovery Manager for Exchange 4.8 is installed on Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7 64Bit platform.

RESOLUTION 1

Install Recovery Manager for Exchange 4.8 on another platform other than Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7 64Bit.

Your computer must run one of the following operating systems (32-bit or 64-bit edition):

- Microsoft Windows Server 2008
- Microsoft Windows Vista without Service Pack or with SP1
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003 without SP or with SP1 or SP2
- Microsoft Windows XP with SP2 or SP3

Upgrade to Recovery Manager for Exchange 4.9 or later
