Toad for Oracle 9 Flat File Export showing timestamp for a date datatype. -
Description
In Toad 9.0 through Toad 9.5, user runs a query that returns a date format in the Grid. User then goes to the menu Grid | Flat File Export. After loading the spec file and doing the export, the user gets a date formatted like the following with time stamp:
DD/MM/YYYY 00:00:00
User is not able to disable the timestamp. Previous versions of Toad 8.X would have exported the date type like the following:
DD/MM/YYYY -

WORKAROUND:
Right mouse click the data grid. Choose "Save As." Save as a delimited text file with settings similar to a Flat File Export.
STATUS:
Waiting for fix in a future version of Toad for Oracle. -
