In order to use Groupwise Migrator for Exchange for my migration, is it mandatory that I have Microsoft Exchange Connector for Novell Groupwise set up and configured?
Microsoft Exchange Connector for Novell GroupWise is not a prerequisite for using GroupWise Migrator for Exchange. Although our migration software has been designed to work with the connector, it does not require that it be used during the migration. The decision to use the connector would depend on what you wanted to achieve in your environment. For example, connectors typically are implemented in environments where you require synchronization and coexistence between the two messaging systems, in the areas surrounding free busy and calendar lookups.
GroupWise Migrator for Exchange can be used for successful migrations with or without the GroupWise Connector. For troubleshooting assistance please contact Novell for the API gateway, and Microsoft for the GroupWise connector.
