"The required identity property 'name' cannot be an empty string" message in SQL Server agent log file (4302711)

A SQL Server agent is not monitoring the remote host. The following message is present in the SQL Server agent log file:

YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS.SSS ECHO ERROR [DBSS-MYSERVER-lowPriorityPool-12595-[DBSS_Connectivity_Validation][YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS.SSS]] com.quest.qsi.fason.sqlserver.collection.processor.SqlServerAgentDataModel - Failed to submit data on collection: DBSS_Connectivity_Validation java.lang.NullPointerException: The required identity property 'name' cannot be an empty string

The monitored hostname wasn't entered for the SQL Server agent in the agent status properties.

For each of the agents not monitoring:

1. Navigate to Administration > Agents > Agent Status
2. Highlight the agent
3. Click the Edit Properties button
4. Modify the private properties for this agent.
5. Populate the SQL Server Host value
6. Update the SQL Server instance value if this is a named SQL Server instance.
7. Update the port if the SQL Server is on a nonstandard port (i.e. not 1433)
8. Save the changes, go back to agent status, and deactivate/active the agent.
