How to set and save alphabetized sorting of Column Names in Data Grid or Describe (F4) window?
Description

How to set and save alphabetized sorting of Column Names (not the data records) in the Data Grid in Schema Browser or Describe (F4) window?
Resolution

First, go to View Menu | Toad Options | Schema Browser | Data Tab | check-mark the “Save Layouts” box | click Apply | OK.

From then on, Toad will remember the Column Name settings in the F4 (Describe) window | Data tab. The above setting also applies to the Schema Browser | Tables | Data Tab.
