When logging in, some folder redirection occurs but some folders fail.
The C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Temp\Desktop Authority\SLTraceLogonCC.log log shows the follow error:
Redirect 'Desktop' to '\\Server\username$\Desktop' with copy ]----------------------- 10/10/2016 09:36:51 INFO FR: 'Desktop' is currently set to '\'
Folder will not be redirected because current path cannot be found
1. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\Desktop actually set to \ as the log implies.
2. The location specified in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\Desktop does not exist on the file system or is not accessible due to permissions.
Workaround 1:
Turn off the “"Copy any files that exist in the original location" option. This way, DA does not need to find the original folder so the error does not occur. However, it does mean any old data will not be copied.
Workaround 2:
Create the folder in the location specified in the User Shell Folders location Eg: C:\Users\Username\Desktop If it already exists, check the permissions allow access.
