When an object cache is dumped for all objects or a specific object, some object(s) may have an entry "Status: Not in Replication". This solution delves on its interpretation.
General information.
If an object is in replication, the entry in the dump of the object cache should be:
Status: In Replication
If the entry is listed as:
Status: Not in Replication
Then the object in question is not in replication at this time. It could be that initially it was in replication but has since been out of replication. The following is a sample entry for a specific object:
<owner.object_name>
<object_id>
Type: TABLE
Key Type: No unique key Number of key columns: 2
Number of columns: 2
Status: Not in Replication
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Col |Length|Type |Name |Column info
1 22 NUMBER Field1 Key
2 30 VARCHAR2 Field2 Key
To bring the object back into replication, the following steps can be undertaken:
1. Make a copy of the currently active config file, and comment out the object(s)
2. Activate the copy
3. Activate the original config file (this may require downtime on the problem objects).
If the objects still show as not in replication, as given by the output of "show config" or the dump of the object cache, then Support may be contacted for further investigation.
See SOL1771 for details on how to dump object cache. See SOL36708 for explanation of what is an object cache.
