Description
How to update SAML 2.0 hostname used in the metadata.xml if you need to use a custom DNS entry instead of the physical hostname. -
Cause
An environment may need to use a custom DNS entry for Foglight users to log into Foglight.

Resolution
In the FMS (Management Server), navigate to [FMS_HOME]/config, and then update server.config with the following parameter:
server.vm.optionX = "-Dquest.saml.hostname=customhostname.example.com";
Replace customhostname.example.com accordingly as well as X with an appropriate number that is not already in use.
