How to avoid replication of non-supported data type while still replicating supported data type ( (4299847)

There are some datatypes that are not supported by Shareplex replication. This solution explores the possibility of replicating the columns containing supported datatype while avoiding replication of unsupported datatype columns.

General information.

Vertical Partitioning feature of Shareplex may be used to get around the problem of tables containing unsupported data types and replicate only the supported datatype columns. The Vertical Partition allows replication of a subset of the columns of a table. Another thing to note is that compare will only operate on the replicating columns when run on a table involved in Vertical Partitioning.  See Shareplex for Oracle Administrator Guide for instructions on setting up Shareplex Vertical Partitioning.
