Resolution
It is possible to specify the currently active config file or any inactive config file when running compare config. Beware that if there are large number of tables in the config file specified for "compare config" command, then the command may time out. Typically the active config file may have a large number of tables and this factor should be kept in mind when running "compare config" on it. That said, if the compare errors out, it will do no harm to the currently active config file if that file were supplied as a parameter to compare.
