Description
A number of different errors can occur when the SUID bit is not turned on for Oracle binary when used in conjunction with Shareplex. Typical errors are ORA-1034 (see SOL6943), Read errors "Can't rename ops cache" (SOL6830), Library errors (SOL542), errors running ora_setup (SOL4671), among others.
The purpose of this solution is to explain what is meant by turning on SUID bit, in context of Oracle binary.
