Description
Maintance Plan is failing with the following error messsage in the SQL Server Errorlog Msg 155, Level 15, State 1, Line 1572866: ''TRUNCATE_ONLY'' is not a recognized BACKUP option. Trace shows the application name as SLSQLMAINT. LiteSpeed is issuing the commands CHECKPOINT BACKUP LOG [LiteSpeedLocal] WITH TRUNCATE_ONLY CHECKPOINT TRUNCATE_ONLY is no longer a valid command for SQL SERVER 2008. -
Cause
Clean up history task runs a truncate_only option that is not compatable with SQL 2008. -
Resolution
CR107981 created in StarTeam to address this issue. It has been fixed in LiteSpeed version 7.5.0 and later.
If unable to upgrade, please see workaround.
Workaround - In the Clean up history task, uncheck the box to shrink log files. See screenshot attached to solution.
