Silent install with '.mst' file install failed with message: "Installation operation failed" in t (4296190)

I ran a silent install Toad for Data Analyst with '.mst' but it failed with the install log ('.log') showing the message.

"Product: Quest Software Toad for Data Analysts 2.1 -- Installation operation failed."

WORKAROUND 1:

A user reported that downloading and using the latest TDA 3.0.1 version resolved the issue.

WORKAROUND 2:
The ToadforDataAnalysts_InstallGuide.pdf for version 2.1.0.227 has an error. On page 17, it lists the script command

msiexec /i "Toad_for_database_installationtype_version.msi" ApplicationUsers="AllUsers" RSP_FILE_NAME="path\RSP_TACversion.rsp" TRANSFORMS="yourTransformFile.mst" /q

The 'RSP_FILE_NAME' entry is wrong in the command. It should be 'RSP_FILE_PATH,' but in the '.rsp' file it self, the notation should still be 'RSP_FILE_NAME.'

WORKAROUND 3:
In the '.rsp' file it self, make sure the 'RSP_FILE_NAME' is pointing to its own path.

WORKAROUND 4:
If you are experiencing install rollbacks at some point in the installation, check your install directory to make sure two EXACTLY same 'Toad for Data Analyst 2.1' folder are not created. This sounds impossible as you cannot have two exact same folder with the exact same name but please check. If so delete them both.
