Resolution
The Log Reader does not support TDE (Transparent Data Encryption) because the logs are encrypted and it would not be possible to read them at all. It cannot be supported as it's a technical restriction. -

Defect ID: TSS-1466 was created to correct the wrong spelling of "Transparant" to "Transparent" in the Log Reader error above.
