SQL Recall History are lost after import from 12.7 and after restarting Toad 12.8. Also getting the error: "Invalid data for a node of type 'CDATA'". -
Description
SQL Recall History are lost or emptied out after importing from Toad 12.7 and after restarting Toad 12.8.
Also getting the error below as soon as Toad 12.8 is started:
"Invalid data for a node of type 'CDATA'"

Cause
1) Possible corruption in the "SavedSQL.dat" file, which causes the SQL History to be lost.
2) XML queries in the "SavedSQL.dat" file are causing the error.

Resolution
WORKAROUND:1)Go to View menu | Toad Options | Editor | Code Assist | ‘Statements to Save:’ box. If it is set to a very high number, lower it. The default is 500.2)For the "Invalid data for a node of type 'CDATA'" error, open the 'SavedSQL.dat' file from Toad 12.7 and remove any XML queries in it (make a backup of that file first). Next re-import that file in Toad 12.8.STATUS:Issue fixed in version 12.9. The latest version of Toad for Oracle can be downloaded here.
