How can I view or see SQL Statements or Scripts that Toad sends in background to the Oracle Datab (4295207)

How do you view or show SQL statements, scripts, or code that Toad sends in background to the Oracle Database? How do I see background processes in Toad for Oracle? What does Toad run in the background when I perform certain actions or activities in Toad?

To view the SQL Statements that Toad sent in the background to the Oracle database:


A) SQL Monitor

   1) Go to Database | Monitor | SQL Monitor
   2) SQL Monitor window will open
   3) Checkmark "toad.exe" on the left side
   4) From here on, SQL Monitor will show you the SQL statements that Toad sends to the Oracle database for each action or activity you perform in Toad


B) Spool SQL to Screen or Spool SQL to File option

   1) Go to Database | Spool SQL | choose either Spool SQL to Screen or Spool SQL to File

NOTE: If choosing "Spool SQL to File", make sure to turn it off when you are done as the generated file can become very large. The file is located under "(C:\Documents and Settings\<your_user>\Application Data\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\10.0\User Files\debug.sql) ".
