Alarm for a long running SQL Server or Oracle query -
Description
Is there a rule to alarm for a long running SQL query, for example if the query exceeds 30 mins then alert? -
Resolution
There is no specific alarm for long running queries however beginning with the 5.9.7.10 SQL Server and Oracle cartridges, the following rules & alarms have been added to alert on long running sessions.
- DBSS - Long Running Session
- DBO - Long Running Session
This alarm is disabled by default and it requires SQL PI to be enabled.
