How To: Create DisplayName of the mail-enabled contact object as FirstName LastName -
Description
When using the CMN directory sync, users are getting the email address as a Display Name. Is it possible to change the display name to only show FirstName<space>LastName? -
Cause
This is by design, although the Display Name format can be changed. -
Resolution
In the Object tab [Users] Select Provision Attributes
1. Delete the existing entry for displayName
2. Click on Add Rule.
3. Chose displayName from the dropdown list for Target Attribute
4. Select Givenname and then click Add Attribute.
5. In the text box next to the Add Text button type a space and Click Add Text.
6. Select sn from the dropdown list next to Add Attribute and then Click Add Attribute
7. Repeat the same for Update Attributes SectionClick on OK and then Save/Activate and Run the connector.
