Description
How to search for unknown accounts (orphaned SIDs or unresolved accounts) in the NTFS Security module. -
Resolution
Create a Search Scope in the NTFS Security module.
In the Group/User Search Criteria tab check the option to Search for unknown accounts.
Click the Start Search button.
The unknown accounts can be deleted from the top level folder it was explicitly applied to.
