Description
The Enterprise SQL Server Performance Summary report does not display SQL Server memory metrics for one instance. The other instances display the memory metrics in the report.Running a query against the monitoring host locally using WBEMTEST using a local credential for the "Win32_PerfRawData_MSSQLSERVER_SQLServerAccessMethods" class fails with an "invalid class" message. -
Cause
The SQL Server WMI query failed due to an invalid class message for "Win32_PerfRawData_MSSQLSERVER_SQLServerAccessMethods". This issue occurs in the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) extensions to the Windows Driver Model, outside of the Foglight product in situations where the Windows Operating System cannot identify Microsoft's "Win32_PerfRawData_MSSQLSERVER_SQLServerAccessMethods".

Resolution
RESOLUTION 1
Refresh the performance counters using wmiadap.exe /f as described in KB 93113
- Login to the database server as an administrator
- Open command prompt and execute:
%windir%\system32\wbem\wmiadap.exe /f - Go to Administration | Agents | Agent Status | Deactivate the database agent having issue | Activate

Reboot the host server
RESOLUTION 3
If a refresh of the performance counters and a reboot of the monitoring host does not resolve the issue, engage internal IT server support team and Microsoft regarding this missing class.
