Alerts from Red Hat Agent HostName shows up in the body as localhost.localdomain. -
Description
Alerts from an Agent installed on a Red Hat server, the HostName shows up in the body of the Alert as localhost.localdomain, even though the server is registered to the InTrust Server correctly.
"SU root succeeded on host localhost.localdomain. User 'username' gained an administrative privilege on localhost.localdomain.Alert was generated on computer localhost.localdomain." -
Cause
The host's /etc/hosts file may be not be configured correctly.

Resolution
Confirm the output of the "hostname -f" command returns the expected result from DNS.
Good example:
[root@redhathost1~]# hostname -fredhathost1.domain.comBad example
[root@redhathost1~]# hostname -flocalhost.localdomainIf not, investigate the /etc/hosts file for possible configuration issue
