Cannot see Oracle RAC entries in Database dropdown list. When attempting to create a connection profile in Spotlight Connection Manager, the Oracle RAC tns entries are not displayed in the database dropdown list .
There were multiple Oracle clients installed on the client PC and the RAC tns entries were not in the correct tnsnames.ora file
Try finding where is the default Oracle Home on the client PC (From a Windows command prompt, you can enter the PATH command to find the default path, and enter tnsping or sqlplus without parameters to display the banner verifying the version)
Once the default Oracle Home is known, verify the correct tnsnames.ora file is located in the default home where Spotlight will be looking for the databases to populate the dropdown list (also verify the correct tns entries are in the tnsnames.ora file)
Then launch Spotlight and verify databases are in the dropdown list
