Error saving a table script in the Editor: "Cannot create file 'C:\...' The filename, directory (4285069)

From the Schema Browser,  user  selects the desired script using the Script tab for a table.    User loads the script from the Schema Browser to the Editor by  selecting "Copy script to an Editor Window" option.  In  Editor,  user  selects "Save as" option and the following error occurs:

Cannot create file 'C:\Pr_gram Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\User Files\xxx.tmp'. The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.

1.  Select View | Toad Options.
2.  Select General from left side tree.
3. In the right pane  verify the path in  "Temp file directory" field exists and  is valid.  If not, click on "Use default" or enter an existing path.
4. Select OK to exit Options.
