We got error password has expired when connecting to database.
We changed the password, then logged into Quest Central for DB2 in order to extract DDL of tablespaces and got the following error:

Password changed improperly
Please have the system administrator reset password on all the servers to resolve the issue.
Note: This password should be changed from AIX security command.
