Cannot open Desktop Authority from the Start menu shortcut -
Description
When trying to invoke the Desktop Authority manager console, using the icon previously created by the installation process, an error displays stating that the page can not be reached. -
Cause
The default port for SSL was changed within IIS after installation.
It may be necessary to modify the default port of 443 if that port is in use by another application.

Resolution
Follow these steps to modify the Start menu shortcut to point to the new port. Port 444 will be used in this example:
Delete the start menu shortcut ‘Desktop Authority Manager’ from the following location:
2008 & 2008 R2: %allusersprofile%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\ScriptLogic Corporation\Desktop Authority Manager
2003: %allusersprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\ScriptLogic Corporation\ Desktop Authority Manager
Recreate the shortcut in the same folder using the following URL:
