How can Recovery Manager for Exchange access the backup files from third-party backup software?

Recovery Manager for Exchange (RMEX) does not have an option to access third-party backup files directly.

The only option is to use the Emulation Mode in RMEX

Follow these steps:

1. Open the RMEX Task Wizard

2. Create a New Task

3. Select the relevant option (depending on the requirement)

4. Add a New Storage

5. Select "Access exchange backups by using third-party software" and choose the backup software from the drop down

6. The Emulation mode will then start

7. Follow the steps in the wizard
