How to reset Data Grid to default? The Data Grid cannot be viewed, missing, hidden, or not showing. (4278546)

The Data Grid cannot be viewed, missing or hidden, or not showing, and cannot drag it up. How to reset the Data Grid to default view?

RESOLUTION 1:

1. Put your cursor on the blue top boarder of the Data Grid

2. Right-click and select 'Restore Default Desktop'

(Note: This is a new feature in Toad 10.6.1)

OR

Click on the down-arrow of the "Save current TOAD desktop" icon (2nd to the last icon in upper middle part of the Toad Window) | and then click on "Restore default desktop".

RESOLUTION 2:

Press F2 and/or Shift + F2 to toggle the data grid on or off.

RESOLUTION 3:

Reset your Toad windows layout files:

1) Fully Exit Toad.

2) Go to:  C:\Users\<Your_User>\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\12.0\User Files\

3) Rename (add _OLD in the file name) or delete the following files:

- EditorDesktopLayout_PLSQL.lay
- EditorDesktopLayout_SQL.lay
- MainFormLayout_default.lay

4) Start Toad and re-test the issue.

If you unpinned the Data Grid, you can 'Restore Default Desktop' by right-clicking the Data Grid tab at the bottom left of the Editor window.
